HallowMan Powered Up by Ageman20XX HallowMan Powered Up by Ageman20XX
After the success of the first two Powered Up artworks, and the obvious fact that Capcom wasn't going to be making a MegaMan Powered Up 2 regardless of the popularity of it - I decided to make something of my own. A MegaMan Powered Up : Trading Card Game.

Big deal, I know. >_<

I actually put a lot of work into the game, the cards, and the artwork. I even decided to make up some bosses that would be exclusive to the card game and didn't exist in the actual games!

This, Hallow Man, is one of them. Hallow Man isn't a real Robot Master - I just made him for the card game because I needed a Dark Type for series one.

The actual design of Hallow Man leaves something to be desired, and the colouring/linework/pose looks rushed. He's not horrible, but he's certainly not my best work.

But hey, I didn't have anything to go on so I say kudos to me for making a good effort! :D

He should be called (in my opinion of course) Ghoulman (but like I said in my opinion of course you don't have to listen to it whatsoever I just thought you would just like to hear an idea that all).

Long time no see. Still working on the movie, and im also starting on the Audition for the robots. I have a head for him, and his parts will be scan copied for replica style. He will have an evil brother in the movie named Haunt Man, and just to make Your robot fit, I'm calling him Fright Man or Spook Man. LEt me know if you want to help out in the movie.

I think the design is perfect. Sometimes simple is better and with Mega Man, esp. Powered Up, that was definitely the dogma they went with. LOVE it.

As far as google research won't lead to your main website you could assume that someone (i.e a tcg society) could miss your art talent and complete creation. But can a tcg be considered as "art"? Not mentioning that you also do other stuff on DA. I think it mostly depends of your aim. It's hard to involve oneself in only one direction, and people watch and like you for different reasons and different pieces of your art. Is there only anything to change in the way you act on DA? I don't think so.

I like it the way it is now. I read your comment (some people do, yes) and noticed you were talking about "Dark Type". Since you designed it for a card game, I've started to assume you were about to create something looking much like the Pokemon TCG, which uses types as well (like the video-game). Though your concept is not THAT original, I have to say that I'd really be glad to have my hands on your creations. I also visited your blog and browsed a few minutes but I didn't see anything concerning any TCG, could you tell us a bit more?

Yeah - I have a whole page written up about it on my (current) website : [link]

As far as types, I realize I might have borrowed the concept from Pokemon, but it's been highly modified to fit into the MegaMan framework. I'd personally gone over all 100+ robot masters and tried to find "types" that would cover all bases but not go overboard.

In total, I ended up with 14 types (shown here [link]) and each Robot Master would have a predefined type (as you'd guess). Unlike Pokemon, however, the types on the ONLY determine the kind of damage that is dealt - weaknesses and resistances are determined on a Robot-by-robot basis.

(the types in the linked picture are from left-to-right : AQUA, BOMB, COLD, DARK, ELEC, GRND, HEAT, METL, NORM, POWR, STAR, TIME, WIND, and NATR. the other two icons are designer-emblems which would be used for special card effects, etc.)

For example, Cut Man would be a METL type (because he deals metal-type damage) and Guts Man is a POWR type (because he deals POWR type damage). Cut Man is weak to POWR type moves, which means he'll still be weak to Guts Man (just like in the games), but Guts Man isn't the ONLY Robot Master he's weak against - other POWR type robots should logically be strong against him as well - and they are. :D

Lol - I'm going way too much into this. Just know that a lot of work did go into it. :) Maybe I should write up a more descriptive page?
